Hi, my name is Mary. I'm an Army wife and proud to be. My hubby is currently deployed so please pray for our family. If you think, I could never do that...I could never marry a Soldier and be alone for that long...well, we don't choose who we fall in love with. I only know one way to love, and that is unconditionally. I would never think of issuing an ultimatum to my husband for him to have to choose between his family and his work. With a lot of prayer, strength, and patience, we get by. How do you survive a deployment? Well, for me it's one day at a time. I don't watch the news. I pray...and I remain hopeful. I believe there is a master plan, and I just trust that.

I have been married to my wonderful Soldier since February of 2000. In August 2002, we were blessed with the joy of my life, our daughter. Now I'm busy running around after her to tball and cheerleading, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

My daughter has recently started modeling boutique. She is quite good. I am learning more and more about photography. When we've gone out to take photographs, we have actually been stopped by people asking us where did we get an outfit. We are always happy to pass along that information.

My niece is having twin boys. Now there is a whole testimony surrounding this. Just before my husband's stepdad passed away, he called this (married into the family) granddaughter over and told her to prepare and get ready to take care of her babies. Now I believe near the end of life, there is a link to heaven. Well, when my mother-in-law passed away in December just 40 days after I lost my mom, she knew my niece was having twin boys. I believed with all my being she'd be here to see those babies born, but that wasn't the plan. Just a couple weeks ago, my niece was sent home for the rest of her pregnancy because she was contracting. Her shower was supposed to be next weekend in Louisville but she can't travel. I'm on a mission to find something "two peas in a pod" for the boys.

Well, the twins made their entrance into the world early. My little preemie nephews made there debut on Friday, April 25. Baby A is named Blake Joseph and weighed 5 lbs 10 oz and was 18.75 inches long. Baby B is named Cole Samuel and weighed 5 lbs 1 oz and was 19.5 inches long. These miracles were delivered by C-section and mom and babies are doing wonderfully.

I am an accountant by trade and am hoping to go to sewing classes during this deployment at the local Joann's superstore. So maybe by year end I'll be whipping up some lovely creations for my daughter.

Hugs and prayers go out to the 4th Infantry Division guys including my husband's team. I'll be holding down the fort "Until they all come home." We love you guys!!! I will be a USO volunteer at the DFW airport as soon as things calm down and I can go back through the screening process and go back to work!

There are so many things I love from the simple to the euro flare inspired creations. I love, love, love Carla Hegeman Crim's stripwork jumper pattern. I love a twirl skirt. I love the Anna wrap. I saw the Vida pattern and it's cute. I so want to get some Zuma pants for my daughter.

I love the tropical, hawaiian flare in terms of fabrics. My daughter loves the Disney fairies. I love some of the German Hilco fabrics. I am getting into some of the Japanese fabrics. I am a huge fan of applique.

Next thing is Scottish tartan wool...thinking of having a winter coat made for my daughter. My family history hails from Clan Robertson.

I absolutely love fabric...everything about it...from how it stimulates visually to how it feels. I don't sew YET, but I have quite the fabric stash. I know my family probably thinks when I come in with more fabric, like she really needs that...why yes, yes I did. ;)

I'm going to be taking some photos of my daughters in the customs we've had made and posting them here. First, I owe photos to someone for a gorgeous outfit they made for the summer.

I read Joseph Bonsall's GI Joe and Lilly. It's a good book. Joseph Bonsall is a member of the Oak Ridge Boys. I wrote him an email about his book, and he responded. A real class act.

I love Ricky Van Shelton's Quacker books, great books for kids. I sent him an email looking for some of the Quacker books for the USO's new United Through Reading program. I was willing to buy them. Ricky's wife, Bettye, sent 3 complete sets for the USO. Just good people!!

I love country music and contemporary christian. One of my favorite groups is Mercy Me and I just love, love, love "I Can Only Imagine." It is my heart song. I sang that during my pregnancy which my doctor was calling high risk and I was just believing for something different. It is also a song I sang after having survived a head on collision in April of 2004. I am blessed to be alive.

http://www.myspace.com/army_wife_hooah I am on myspace, although there are issues with the account at the moment. I forgot my password and the send me my password link doesn't work on their website.

http://armywifehooah.spaces.live.com/ Okay it's been a while since I've updated my space at MSN Live.

http://360.yahoo.com/profile-g_kkpNQ8erSik9LkWFFJW9KN5DlI Yahoo 360 but it hasn't been updated in a while

That's about it.

I love fabric. I am probably 100% a fabricaholic. However, I am not looking for a 12 step program.

I love so many but Moda, Michael Miller, Hilco, Kaufman, Henry, and the like come to mind.

As I said we love tropical, and I am a big fan of the Hawaiian hibiscus. We love tropical fish life as well...and mermaids, of course. My daughter does love The Little Mermaid, but honestly we don't have any print of her. She loves the Disney fairies...not just TinkerBell, but the prints which have Rani, Beck, Fira, and Prilla. My daughter's fave color is red. I love anything patriotic or when boutique designers use military camo materials in a design. What can I say I will forever be a supporter of our troops...not just because my husband is a Soldier...but because I value these men and women and the sacrifice they make!
